Barry Larkin Collection 235: 1993 Flair - #27

Barry Larkin
Year:  1993
Brand:  Flair
Card number:  27

The 1993 Flair set is a high end set on nice, thick card stock.  The design is classy (but also a bit confusing).  The front of the card features Larkin making turning a double play (and getting Barry Bonds out in the process) along with a second image of Larkin shagging a fly ball in the background.  Personally, I think the front would look better without the background image.

The back of the card features a one sentence bio plus career statistics over a third image of Larkin (this time him by a batting cage).  I have almost no complaints about the back of the card - its quite nice (and it even has the team logo).  The only complaint is the set number - it's tough to read.  Luckily, I'm not collecting the 1993 Flair set so that isn't an issue for me!

All things told, this is one of the better 1993 Barry Larkin cards that I own.  The high class appeal that Fleer attempted mostly works here - and it's head and shoulders above most other 1993 releases.
