Barry Larkin
Year: 2012
Brand: Panini Black Friday Kings
Parallel set: Cracked Ice
Card number: 4
In 2012, Panini issued a complicated set called Black Friday which contained subjects from a variety of sports. While details on the set are sketchy (at least from what I could find), it appears that this Barry Larkin card is actually a parallel (Cracked Ice parallel to be precise). Again, from what I could find, it appears most Cracked Ice parallels were numbered out of 25, but not the Diamond Kings cards. It's a complicated set for sure - and regular versions of the Larkin card appear to go for dirt cheap online (though I don't yet own the regular version as of the time of this post). I will say that the design of the card is ok, and the sunglasses help hide the fact that there are no logos present. The Cracked Ice effect is also done well, though it's basically a rip-off of Topps' 2011 diamond parallel set.
