Barry Larkin
Year: 1998
Brand: Pacific Crown Collection
Card number: 265
I've made it quite clear on my blog that I am a fan of most things Pacific-related. While the 1998 Pacific Crown Collection isn't my favorite of the many, many different designs that Pacific churned out, it is a fairly nice looking card. On the front, you get a (mostly) easy-to-read team name plus a bright team logo. On the back, you get a second photo (and plenty more team logos) along with a single year's worth of statistics. Plus, since it's Pacific, you also get text in two different languages. As a whole, it's a nice looking card - for Larkin specifically both images are quite nice. The front image has a slightly different take on the classic batting shot (this time the photo taken a second or so after contact) while the back photo is a benign posed shot (with some serious shadow effects).
