Barry Larkin
Year: 1992
Brand: Panini Stickers
Card number: 265
Long before Panini's recent "regular" card set offerings, the company spent much of its time selling collectible stickers. The front of the "card" features a sticker of the player in question that you can peel off. The back of the card features a blank score card which you could fill in (perhaps with some sort of game?).
Overall, this isn't my favorite Barry Larkin card. Other than the inherent intrigue factor for an oddball card, this particular card doesn't have much going for it. There is no mention of team names or logos. There is no mention of statistics nor player biographies. In fact, even the card design itself is ugly with the full complement of triangles and strange angles (plus the card number on the front of the card which is always a no-no, even for sticker cards). All that said, it is another addition to my collection - and for that, I'm happy and thankful!
