Digging Into the Box XII: Some I Needed, Some I Don't!

It's time to dip back into the second (of four) giant boxes full of cards complements of my brother.  Today, we take a look at cards from three different sets - two of which I am currently working on and the third is one that I won't be working on (and thus will be trade bait)!

First up, the smallest pile.  So small, in fact, that it's only a single card.  The card in question?  A 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen card of Carlos Ruiz.

I've been avoiding the 2014 edition of Gypsy Queen mostly because I'm still working on the 2013 set (and the 2011 set).  However, the Ruiz card does push me a bit closer to completion and for that I'm quite happy!

Next up, another set that I'm still trying to complete from 2013:  Topps Chrome.

My brother sent me over a nice sized stack of Chrome cards that I needed - 17 in total!  Unfortunately for me, I still need a whole bunch more of the Chrome base cards (see my full want list here).  I won't scan all 17 cards but I did pick two of my favorites (the Nick Franklin above which was my favorite in the pile and the Jackie Bradley Jr. below because I like the photo a lot)!

Finally, the third stack for this post:  2012 Bowman.

Now, I've made it clear on this blog that I don't usually collect much in the way of Bowman.  I will admit, however, that I do have quite a few different Bowman cards in my collection that I like a lot.  Despite that though, the majority of Bowman cards simply don't interest me...  In terms of designs, the 2012 set is definitely solid - but I am still working on too many other sets from the early 2010s so I can't add on yet another set.  I did pick out a few cards that will become keepers for me...but there were quite a few that I won't be keeping.  As such, I have some Bowman cards for trade now!  In fact, you'll probably see some of them coming up in future trade stacks (or in some team lots which I may eventually make available on the blog).

Thanks for all the great cards brother!  And, as always, should anyone else wish to trade check out my want list and make an offer!
