2015 Topps Jumbo Case Group Break: Box #5: Pack-by-Pack (Packs 6 - 8)

Happy Valentine's Day all.  You did remember to get your significant other something nice, didn't you?

Well, I doubt I'll be getting any baseball cards today...but some of you will be.  Here are the next three packs out of the fifth (of six) 2015 Topps Series 1 Jumbo Boxes for our group break.

Box 5:
Pack 6:

We begin with a base card - this time it's a Tigers' rookie card of Kyle Lobstein for Chris G.  I like the fact that the rookie card logo is visible but it's not obnoxious.

Moving on to other non-obnoxious things...how about the autograph from the box?

That's a John Jaso auto for Junior Junkie since he claimed the Mariners.  The pack also held a nice Matt Carpenter rainbow parallel for Brady - but as usual, I won't be scanning the rainbow parallels because they don't scan well with my scanner!

Pack 7:

The seventh pack was highlighted by a Cincinnati Reds gold parallel (woo!).  This is the Reds' team card - and while I don't particularly have inclination to relive the Reds' 76-86 2014 season, I do like the card quite a bit!  For those that are wondering, it is numbered 0652/2015.

Pack 8:

We close out today's post with two more inserts of note.  The first is the Mike Trout Archetypes card for the Angels (and thus for Matthew Scott).

The second card of note from Pack 8 was another gold parallel - and in a fun turn of events for yours truly, it was another Reds' gold.

This time Todd Frazier got the gilded treatment!  This one happens to be numbered 0967/2015.  The pack also had another rainbow parallel - this time of Tommy LaStella (Braves).  That goes out to Matthew Scott as well!

We are almost done with the fifth box - but I assure you there is still more goodies to come in the final two packs.  What kind of goodies you ask?  How about a photo variation card, another Gallery of Greats card, and a manupin of a legitimate big league star?  Stay tuned!
