Barry Larkin
Year: 1995
Brand: Upper Deck SP
Card number: 45
The plethora of sets released in the mid-90s made it virtually impossible for me to keep track of what was what when I was a kid. In fact, I still don't know a lot of the sets from that era. I do know, however, that the Upper Deck SP set features Barry Larkin (since I own the card) but I don't know much else about the set. Looking at BaseballCardPedia's page for the set, I see there are some parallels...so I can't even be sure that this is the regular base card I guess. Maybe someone who knows something about this set can shed some light on it for me!

This is third SP set Upper Deck made. I believe it was created to showcase new card technologies (that what it feels like, anyway) and hung around for a long time in multiple formats (SP Top Prospect, SP Authentic, etc.).
ReplyDeleteThe parallel is called something like Electrachrome (I don't recall exactly what) or Electric Boogaloo or comething like that, and it is baddass. Highly recommend you pick it up!

ReplyDeleteLove the TCDB, can't live without it. The parallel has silver where the blue is on the left side. There's a Special F/X insert that has a Larkin card as well.
