We continue our tour of Barry Larkin cards from the 2015 Topps High Tek set with the third (of six) versions of the base card. This is the Pipes pattern (which is third most common pattern after the base pattern Waves and the slightly-rarer-than-base-pattern Dots). The Pipes pattern is only for the players denoted as "B players" in the set. The analogous design for the "A" players is the Circuit Board design. In a box of 2015 High Tek, you only get one card from the third level of parallels (either a Circuit Board card or a Pipes card). Thus, we have quickly moved into fairly rare cards!
For me, the Pipes pattern is the least visually friendly of the first three version of the Larkin base cards. As of the moment, I'd rank the designs (from best to worst) as Dots --> Waves --> Pipes. Of course, there are still another three versions of the base card so we'll have to see if the Pipes design is truly the worst of the bunch (as of the time I am writing this post I don't yet have all the remaining versions in hand...though all should be on the way thanks to eBay purchases)!
