Barry Larkin
Year: 2015
Brand: Topps High Tek
Parallel set: Diamonds (Pattern 5B)
Card number: HT-BL
The Diamonds parallel is the fifth level of parallel for the "B" players in 2015 Topps High Tek. The analogous parallel for the "A" players is called Pyramids (which I like less than the Diamonds pattern). The pattern five cards are extremely difficult pulls since they are seeded 1:6 boxes or only two per case (one of each pattern). Based on stated odds, it would appear that there are approximately 50 of each Diamonds pattern parallel out there (same with the Pyramid parallels). However, the cards are not serially numbered so that number is only an estimate!
It might seem like having only two cards of a specific level of parallel is impossibly rare...but believe it or not there is actually one more tier of base card parallels that are even tougher to pull than the Diamonds! Thanks to eBay, I own that card as well...and I'll show it off soon enough here!
