Barry Larkin
Year: 1997
Brand: Score
Card number: 242
Back in 1997, Score released an incredibly plain (some might say classic) design for their flagship set. The front of the card features no capital letters while the back is chock full of itty bitty text - and plenty of numbers all over the place! Despite it's plain Jane (or is it "jane") look, 1997 Score always held some appeal for me. I can appreciate a set that let's the image do all the talking on the front...and math do all the talking on the back. My only complaint is that the team logo on the back of the card is so small it almost might as well not be there.
