TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

Delivery Time! The Home Run Apple Hits a Home Run for My Collection!

By now, most of my readers probably know that I'm avid LEGO collector.  In fact, I would hazard a guess that I've probably spent more money on my LEGO collection over the past 12 months than I have my baseball card collection (at least if you don't count Allen & Ginter...my one remaining baseball card weakness)!

One of the awesome things about my baseball blog is that I've been able to connect with other LEGO collectors out there (as well as plenty of baseball card collectors of course).  Today's trade is courtesy of Keith over at The Home Run Apple.

Keith contacted me a few weeks ago about a trade to help his kids out.  I don't have any kids to blame my LEGO addiction on, but the trade worked out for all parties.  I was able to send a pair of new LEGO minifigures over to Keith's house and Keith sent me a pair of figures for my collection.

The first minifig wasn't new for me - but with my custom LEGO hospital that I built, I wanted another pair of the awesome crutches piece!

I'll probably always love that banana shirt torso as well.

The second minifigure isn't of any particular interest to me but I needed it for my complete set of Series 15 minifigures.

Much like baseball cards, sometimes you feel compelled to collect stuff that you don't even like...

Many thanks for the trade Keith!  I hope your children enjoyed their figures...and I know that I'll enjoy mine!  As for anyone else, if you'd like to trade baseball cards (or LEGO), let me know!
