Delivery Time! Junior Junkie Jealousy! ("J" Alliterations are Tricky)

Awhile back, I recall The Junior Junkie posting a blog entry showing off a Post Office receipt that would rival those massively long receipts given out by CVS when you buy a pack of gum or a magazine.  Anyhow, I was lucky enough to be one of the many bloggers that Junior Junkie sent mail to before the birth of his child...and now it's time to show off my loot!

We begin with the one and only Junior Junkie on his own trading card.

I'm 100% convinced that I couldn't pull that look off...but the Junkie makes it work!  I love the fact that there is an Upper Deck Griffey pictured on a Topps' card...seems all too fitting if you ask me!

Moving on to the other contents of the package - the best part for me was a nice sized pile of Barry Larkin cards.  One of which was this rather thick Larkin numbered out of 99.

I don't own a lot of serially numbered Larkin cards so this was a great addition for my collection.  It will eventually get some love as part of my ongoing Barry Larkin Collection as well!

The Junkie also sent a few cards from my want list my way including this Ivan Rodriguez from 2015 Stadium Club.

I'm still missing a whole lot from the '15 set but I'll take every card I can get as I slowly creep closer to finishing off the set!

How about a food issue card?  No, it's not from those gross looking Wal-Mart pizzas that are all the rage right now...but rather it's from Cap'n Crunch.

That's a Topps' issued oddball from back in the day (1989 to be precise).  You know, back when food issued cards were the norm and you could eat decent tasting things (like cereal) to get the cards...and you didn't have to go Wal-Mart either (a big plus in my book)!

And finally, as if all the above wasn't enough...how about a few unopened packs?

I think I'll probably save some of those for my next group break - some bonus packs are always fun to throw in!

Many thanks for the goodies Junior Junkie!  And, as always, should anyone else want to trade - check out my want list and make an offer!

  1. I like Cap'n Crunch so much that I often eat it as a snack - it sure would be nice if one could still find baseball cards in the box!
