Back in the day (and by that, I mean two years ago), I was somehow able to post more than twice a day (on average) on my blog. I mean, seriously, look at my blog archives:
Thinking about those numbers now, I find that to be insane. It's no surprise to me that I'm way behind any sort of similar pace for 2016 - in fact, I today is my first day with multiple posts in the same day in almost a month's time!
As a side note: I often wonder why I didn't try to crank out an extra four posts back in 2012...I was so close to hitting 1,000 posts that year! That's a shame because I doubt I'll ever reach those heights again...unless I start doing a boatload of group breaks!
Anyhow, I'm a numbers guy and I found those numbers interesting.
You know what other numbers I find interesting? Numbers on my want list. And more specifically, deleting numbers off of my want list.
How's that for a transition?
Here's the next pack out of the 1997 Fleer Sports Illustrated box.

Great Shots: Alex Rodriguez
That Great Shots card is a perfect representation of what everyone either loves or hates about A-Rod. I mean, Sports Illustrated really nailed A-Rod's personality with that shot...and I'm not sure anyone caught on to that back in 1997.
As for the cards that I needed? I actually needed all but the poster and the Ripken, Jr. This pack also had a paper checklist (my second of the box) which counts as the sixth card. That's a bunch of crap if you ask me.

Great shot of A-Rod. I'm even in the "hate A-Rod" camp and I can admit that. I only dislike him because he ditched the Mariners.
