Cracking Open the 1997 Fleer Sports Illustrated Box!

As a bit of a reward to myself for all of the work I've been doing lately (lesson planning and grading mostly), I have a box of 1997 Fleer Sports Illustrated for me to rip open.  The SI set is actually a set that I've had on my want list (to very little avail) for quite some time.  For posterity, here's what I currently need for my set:

1997 Fleer Sports Illustrated:
Base:  1, 2, 3, 4, 14, 15, 16, 17, 24, 28, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 52, 5, 56, 63, 64, 65, 66, 70, 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 81, 82, 85, 86, 87, 88, 91, 96, 97, 99, 100, 102, 103, 106, 107, 109, 111, 114, 115, 118, 123, 126, 127, 130, 131, 135, 136, 139, 144, 145, 149, 151, 157, 160, 162, 163, 167, 169, 170, 171, 180
Great Shots (mini posters):  Ryan Klesko, Kenny Lofton, Galarraga/Castilla, Eric Karros, Mike Piazza, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr.

I am hoping that I'll be able to knock off most (if not all) of the above cards after ripping this box.  I am especially hopeful that I am able to find the seven mini posters in the box!

Given all that, it's time to get ripping!

Pack 1:

Each pack of cards is supposed to contain six cards (according to the pack wrapper). However, my first pack only contained five cards (counting the mini poster as a card).  I did get a paper checklist in the pack but if that counts as a card I would like to have some strong words with the folks at Fleer (I know, I know, a couple of decades too late)!  Anyhow, here are the four cards that I got in the first pack.

3.  Emil Brown (needed it!)
95.  Ryne Sandberg
105.  Ron Gant
171.  Roger Clemens (needed it!)

Mini poster:  Cal Ripken Jr.

Assuming my records are correct, I have the Ripken mini poster but I did land a pair of new base cards.  I'll take that for the first pack!

The base cards in this set are very blah to me, which is probably why I've never tried to collect it, because I love the other cards so much.
