Barry Larkin
Year: 2000
Brand: Upper Deck
Card number: 85
The 2000 Upper Deck set featured a heavy dose of the color blue. I mean, look at the back of the card in particular - it's like Upper Deck hired Fleer's designers of the 1991 Fleer set and said, hey, do you thing, except use bright blue this time rather than banana yellow. Wowser.
Besides all the blue, this particular Upper Deck set isn't overly good for a Larkin collector. The card image selected isn't the best for Larkin (unless you like staring at his butt). In addition, Barry only shows up three times in the entire set: once on the base card you see above and then two other times on parallels of this base card. There is a UD Exclusives Silver parallel (numbered out of 100) and a UD Exclusives Gold parallel (which is a one-of-one). I don't own either of the parallels as of the time of this post, and quite frankly, I don't see myself actively tracking them down any time soon either.
