Barry Larkin
Year: 1994
Brand: Upper Deck Fun Pack
Card number: 111
I never heard of the Upper Deck Fun Pack brand until I started writing Nachos Grande...about fifteen years or so after the 1994 edition's release. I didn't miss a lot by not knowing about the set since it's a 240 card set with a total of only five Reds cards (one Larkin, shown above). The set design definitely didn't age well over time...but then again, did much of the "hip" stuff from the early 90s age well? I didn't think so. On the bright side, with only one card in the set I can knock off this set from my Larkin want list...and that in and of itself makes this card valuable to me (even if it is still ugly)!

"that in and of itself makes this card valuable to me (even if it is still ugly)!" If I had a dollar for every time I said that as a player-collector! I'm with you on not being in love with this design.
