We made it to the end of January...and with this final day, we will also make it to the end of the 2000 Fleer Tradition box. As of this moment, I've acquired 39 new cards for my set. I needed over 50 to complete the whole thing, so that prospect doesn't look good. It would, however, be nice to at least get it down to a point where I'm missing fewer than 10 cards, right? Let's hope as we close out the box with the final three packs.
Pack 34:
24. Dave Borkowski & Jason Wood
83. Reggie Sanders
90. Toronto Blue Jays
91. Denny Stark & Gil Meche
244. Jeff Montgomery
266. Robinson Cancel & Kevin Barker
286. Jason Veritek
304. Jesse Garcia
326. Mickey Morandini
427. Checklist
One more new card there. I'll take it.
Cards needed (so far): 40
Pack 35:
13. Kyle Farnsworth
71. Jim Edmonds
75. Carlos Febles
77. Carlos Perez
227. Ruben Mateo
301. Matt Stairs
403. Casey Blake & Vernon Wells
417. Wilton Guerrero
432. Homer Bush
Dividends: 6. Frank Thomas
Blech. Nothing new there. Not a good way to close out the box... One pack remains.
Pack 36:
16. Calvin Pickering & Matt Riley
17. Tony Clark
59. Matt Anderson
134. Scott Karl
220. Ronnie Belliard
223. John Halama
294. Bob Wickman
315. J.T. Snow
412. Detroit Tigers
Who to Watch: 6. Peter Bergeron
Well, no new inserts out of the final three packs - but I did land one last base card which I'll take. In the end, the box yielded a grand total of 41 new cards. Not as good as I was hoping, if I'm being honest, but it's also a lot better than it could have gone.
If you can't tell, I now have a TON of cards from this set for trade. I'll try to put together a full trade bait page in the near future. For now, thanks for watching along with me as I ripped an older box of cards. It was fun - and it was definitely a fairly long lasting box of Christmas cards!
Update:
Now that all is said and done (and the cards are all sorted and tucked into my binder pages), here is where I stand on the set needs:
That's much better than it was before I started the box...but as you can see, I still have my work cut out for me!

Was just going through some lists of mine and I remembered you posted this. I too need card #11 (Mantei), so if you come across two, let me know please!
