TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

Delivery Time! Bubba Sends.... Part II: The Non-Minis

Yesterday, I showed off the first part of a somewhat recent trade package from Bubba's Bangin' Batch of Baseball Bits.  Today, it's time to look at the second half - the non-mini portion of the trade!

First up, I have to show off a surprise throw-in:

That's a rather thick relic card of Aaron Harang.  The relic is out of 99, but it's sort of weird in that only one of the three letter "windows' actually holds any bits of cloth...but that one bit is actually a nice patch so...  Yeah, color me confused on this one!  Still, it's new for my collection so I'll happily take it.

Now, on to the stuff that I knew was coming as part of the trade...

Matt (aka Bubba) sent me a bunch of the 2017 Allen & Ginter "What a Day" insert cards.  I'm still missing a ton of 'em though which is sad since they were seeded 1:2 packs so they aren't at all rare.  I guess the problem is that the set is 100 cards strong so it takes a minimum of 200 packs with perfect luck to get the full set.

Matt also had the last base card that I needed for my set.

I actually owned this card at one point - but after Mr. Michal Kapral reached out to me last year, I sent him my copy for him to sign.  For my set, I wanted an unsigned version (the signed version will be part of a different project that I hope to start sometime within the next decade...at the rate I'm going at least).

Finally, we end on a somewhat surprising note in that it's not an Allen & Ginter card...

That is two more of the super annoying short prints from the 2009 Topps Heritage set.  I've been working on the '09 set for the better part of a decade now (wow!) and I'm still missing a bunch of the stupid short prints.  Getting two in a single swoop was a major score for me - these things are darn near impossible to find anymore!

Thanks for the great swap, Matt!  As for anyone else - if you'd like to trade be sure to check out my want list and make an offer!
