Delivery Time! Remember the Astrodome Sticks Me

My Trade Bait trades are still rolling in - and as they roll in, I make sure to my end of the trade out.  For today, we have a small PWE swap with Marc over at Remember the Astrodome.

Marc requested a few cards from me including a pair of Astros inserts (no surprise there) and in return he sent me a couple of Barry Larkin Panini stickers from 1992.

In addition to the Larkins, Marc also sent me a few other Reds from the set including four stickers for other Reds that I (sort of) collect individually.

That's a pair of Chris Sabo cards (my favorite player prior to Larkin being my favorite) plus an Eric Davis and a Jose Rijo.  I'm not sure why the one Sabo is all sparkly - maybe it's part of an All-Star subset or something?  I don't know much of anything about Panini stuff, especially the 90s stickers!

I do know that I love the Reds' running man logo - and getting in sticker format will never get old for me.  I don't think I actually owned this particular sticker yet though so I don't think I'll be peeling it any time soon!

Finally, there was one non-sticker card in the PWE:  a nice gold parallel of Joey Votto #/999.  I like the little story about Votto on the card, even if the overall card design doesn't please my eye.

Thanks for the easy swap, Marc!  As for anyone else, if you'd like to trade be sure to check out my want list and make an offer!  I'm working extremely hard this year to whittle my want list down and any help (even as small as one card) is appreciated!

  2. You’re welcome! The shiny Sabo is indeed from the All-Star portion of the set.

  3. I haven't seen these since I was a kid. I used to have a bunch but they are long gone.
