This is it, the final three packs of the box! Once I go through the final few packs, I'll get to see exactly how close this box got me to completing my base set. Fingers crossed for good luck.
Pack 22:
103. Wally Joyner
115. Fred McGriff (need it)
83. Gary DiSarcina (need it)
13. Mike Piazza (need it)
Mini: 44. Tim Salmon
Home Run History: 2. Sammy Sosa
Three more base cards that I needed plus the second Home Run History card from the box (which is right on point since they are seeded 2:25 packs).
Pack 23:
112. Edgar Martinez
126. Rey Ordonez
127. David Ortiz (need it)
114. Quinton McCracken
24. Craig Biggio (need it)
Mini: 136. David Segui
Two more cards. So far so good. One pack left.
Pack 24:
67. Mike Caruso
94. Jeffrey Hammonds (need it)
30. Andres Galarraga (need it)
64. Kevin Brown
117. Hal Morris (need it)
Mini: 40. Pedro Martinez
And that does it for the box. Even at the end, I was pulling plenty of cards that I needed. The next question is how well did I do in total?
Heading into the box, my want list for the 1999 Pacific Private Stock set looked like this:
With that said, I did end up with quite a few duplicates from my box. Is anyone interested in them? I can type up a list if there is interest. Let me know!

Heading into the box, my want list for the 1999 Pacific Private Stock set looked like this:
1999 Pacific Private Stock:Base: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 39, 40, 47, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 60, 61, 62, 64, 65, 72, 74, 76, 78, 81, 82, 83, 85, 88, 90, 91, 94, 96, 98, 101, 104, 105, 107, 110, 111, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 119, 120, 122, 124, 125, 126, 127, 131, 133, 134, 135, 139, 143, 145, 146And now that I've finished sorting everything, my list looks like this:
1999 Pacific Private Stock:Base: 3, 7, 28, 29, 39, 54, 62, 116, 119, 124, 143, 145Overall, I went from needing 71 cards to needing only 12! That's pretty good results for only opening up a single box, especially for one with as bad of collation as the 1999 Pacific Private Stock boxes seem to have. Being honest, I ended up doing better than I thought I would...I even pulled a pair of Barry Larkin minis (one of which will go into my Larkin Collection binder as that too was a needed card)! I'm quite happy with how the rip turned out and hopefully you all enjoyed following along.
With that said, I did end up with quite a few duplicates from my box. Is anyone interested in them? I can type up a list if there is interest. Let me know!

I could use the Barry Bonds mini and base card of Armando Rios #132. Looks like a fun break.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting oh so close to finishing the set! I would be interested in any extra Indians cards you may have from the box.
