The Last of the Big Trade: One of My Favorite Sets (plus a Pacific Set)

We've finally made it to the end of the big trade with blog reader Bob.  I've taken my time going through the trade so as to give each of the card set representatives sent my way a chance to shine (and a chance for me to be honest about whether or not the set is still worth trying to collect).  Today, we finish off the trade with two final sets beginning with 1999 Pacific Aurora.

The Pacific brand is a favorite of mine, I say that often on my blog.  And so, when the opportunity struck for me to acquire a bunch of Pacific cards I couldn't refuse!  That said, my want list for the 1999 Pacific Aurora set is still quite large:
1999 Pacific Aurora Wants:Base:  3, 9, 10, 13, 30, 37, 47, 52, 56, 70, 77, 80, 82, 84, 93, 94, 123, 125, 129, 130, 131, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 148, 149, 150, 156, 160, 164, 169, 179, 180, 181, 183, 189, 192
I'm not sure if I have much of a chance at finishing this set in any sort of reasonable time frame.  Even worse, I'm also currently working on the 1999 Pacific base set - another Pacific set for which I'm missing a ton of cards.  By the time the end of this year rolls around, if I haven't made solid progress on one (or both) of the sets, there's a decent chance I'll decide to stop collecting at least one of the two sets.  At the moment, I'm actually leaning towards trying to finish the regular Pacific base set despite needing more cards from that set.  It's hard to say though - and there's still six more months to go before the end of 2019 (my self-imposed deadline to get my want list down to 100 or fewer sets).

Moving on, we end with one of my favorite sets remaining on my want list:  1998 Fleer Sports Illustrated.

Like the Pacific Aurora set discussed above, I still have quite a ways to go on this set.  That's okay though, I love the set enough that I'm not currently considering giving up on it (also, it helps that boxes of this stuff are still available and relatively affordable).
1998 Fleer Sports Illustrated Wants:Base:  6, 7, 10, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 36, 41, 47, 50, 51, 53, 59, 64, 75, 77, 80, 82, 84, 87, 88, 92, 93, 95, 96, 99, 105, 106, 109, 110, 111, 113, 116, 120, 125, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, 137, 140, 141, 142, 146, 148, 150, 154, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 163, 165, 167, 168, 169, 173, 174, 175, 177, 179, 181, 184, 187, 190, 197, 199
Opening Day Mini-Posters:  5 (Garciaparra), 7 (Thomas), 24 (McGwire), 29 (Rodriguez/Gonzalez)
That was a fun trade - and while Bob didn't finish off the sets for me he definitely helped me get much closer to completing a wide number of sets!
