This is a Wal-Mart pack of 2007 Topps Updates & Highlights.
With 12 cards in the pack, hopefully we get something interesting out of this 12-year-old pack!
14. Brady Clark
191. Brett Carroll
302. J.A. Happ
203. Jamie Vermilyea
109. Jason Wood
72. Darin Erstad
301. Bob Howry
Walmart Continuity: 53. Adam LaRoche
173. Kevin Slowey
154. Jesse Litsch
222. Ichiro
251. Chris Young
Let's count up what we got:
Rookie cards: 4 cards
All-Stars: 2 cards
Inserts: 1 card
Other: 5 cards
Reds: Zero.
The Walmart Continuity cards are seeded 1:4 packs so I guess that's a nice find. I do like the 1959 design a lot but it's kind of overplayed at this point in time (less so though back in 2007 I guess). Other than that insert, really only the Ichiro is of much interest to me.
Too bad we didn't pull one of the Bonds autograph relics that were seeded 1:145,000 packs. Yikes, good luck finding one of those!

J.A. Happ was pitching in 2007? Holy smokes how time flies. Even cooler that his signature spells out his full name.
ReplyDeleteTo think that this whole time I was thinking that 2008 Topps Heritage opened the floodgates on the overusage of the 1959 Topps design. I have seen the light.
