TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

A Collector's Crack Mail Day from May (Whoopsie Daisy)

I'm continuing to work my way down through my pile of mail that's been sitting on my desk for way too long!  In fact, today's package is one of the ones that's been sitting around the longest...since sometime in May (whoops)!

Don't let the long time between me receiving this package and me posting make you think I don't like it.  In fact, I couldn't have been more happy with this package courtesy of Mark over at Collector's Crack!  The truth is that I've been super busy with all sorts of teaching stuff since this summer (Covid restrictions meant I had to re-do many, many lesson plans).  Because of that, whenever I went to type up a mail day post, I almost always gravitated towards one of the many PWEs simply because they require less work/time to get an adequate post written!

Well, fear not those of you who have sent me larger envelopes - I appreciate each and every mail day and I won't "half a**" a post simply to churn something out.  Instead, you might have to wait a few days...or weeks...or even months but rest assured I'll get there eventually!

Speaking of getting there eventually, let's look at some cards from Mark!  The card at the top of the post is a pretty cool shiny card that I hadn't seen before (probably because it's a 2020 release from early 2020 when I wasn't buying any cards at all).  That wasn't the only shiny card in the package though.

As of the time of me writing this post, Bauer hasn't signed with anyone.  As much as I'd like him to remain a Red, I have a feeling he's mostly interested in a super huge paycheck and if that's the case, the Reds will almost assuredly be out of the running.  If nothing else, at least I'll have a year-and-a-half of baseball cards to collect with Bauer as a Red.

Mark included a few other Reds for me as well - including a bunch of guys that I have small (or not-so-small depending on the player) PCs for:

Of the four players above, only Morgan is one who I don't specifically collect.  That card is pretty nice though and so it has a real good chance of making it into my Reds Frankenset!

If all of the above wasn't enough, I actually haven't even shown my favorite bunch of cards yet!

Yeah,  you can't beat a pile of Larkin cards - especially when said pile contains some new-to-me cards of Barry!

Many, many thanks for the cards Mark!  I do apologize again for taking so long to get a proper post up but I'm hoping that this can be chalked up to a case of "better late than never."  As for anyone else, if you'd like to trade be sure to check out my want list.  I'm finally almost caught up with trade packages so I might as well start a new queue, right?!

  1. That purple Larkin (Tribute? Triple Threads? Tier 1? The T one) is gorgeous.

I love those Chrome Decade's best inserts. Hoping Bauer stays in Cincinnati-or at least stays away from Boston lol.

  3. I still have thank you posts to do for stuff I was sent before last Christmas, so don't feel too bad about just getting around to covering something from May.
