TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

Board Game Friday: April 2024 Games Played Recap!

Well, it's the first Friday in May which means I can officially unveil my (in person) board game plays for the month of April.  April is always a busy time at work with the end of the semester madness (exams, finals, various honor societies and other meetings, etc.) so the fact that I got any board game plays in is a win in my book.

I ended up playing a total of 20 plays spread across 9 different games.

Here's the visual:

As you can see, my son spent a good chunk of April loving the Dungeons & Dragons: Adventure Begins game.  That game alone accounted for 7 out of my 20 plays.  I also got the chance to try Ishtar: Gardens of Babylon, Unearth, and both Dice Throne games for the first time ever.  I enjoyed my single play of each of those, certainly games that I plan to return to in the near future to give each another spin!

Finally, a special shoutout to 7 Wonders Duel, a game I had played years ago and had a ho-hum sort of play of and never returned to.  Well, the game is now on Board Game Arena so I played it there a few times and then decided to try the game "in person" again as well.  I'm glad I did as the game is super fun (way more fun than the original 7 Wonders if you ask me)!

All things considered, I am happy getting 20 plays in the month of April this year.  I definitely like the variety of games I got to play as well, plus anytime I get to play some new-to-me games it's a win!
