The Non-Reds Frankenset: Cards #559 - 576

Last week, I worked some more on my non-Reds Frankenset and decided to call it a day when I get to card #603 in the set (rather than my original plan of building a 792 card set).  Today, we start with card #559 which means we are nearly done with the initial building of my non-Reds Frankenset!

Cards 559 - 567:

Best card on the page:  The Carl Everett is a simple shot, and yet you don't see a lot of images like that on baseball cards.

Worst card on the page:  Other than the Carl Everett, there isn't a single card on this page that I'd consider untouchable in terms of eventually being replaced.  Of course, there are also four blank spots so overall this page is pretty crappy!

#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375, 399, 401, 406, 415, 417, 436, 445, 459, 463, 465, 466, 471, 473, 476, 485, 488, 489, 490, 491, 493, 496, 497, 498, 499, 506, 507, 511, 512, 516, 522, 523, 533, 536, 538, 541, 547, 553, 560, 563, 564, 567

Cards 568 - 576:

Best card on the page:  Easy choice on this page, the best card is the 1991 Upper Deck card of Ken Griffey Sr. with a cameo of his son.

Worst card on the page:  I'd like to replace all three of the 2006 Topps cards on this page.  The Miguel Cabrera is also a rather terrible photo.

#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375, 399, 401, 406, 415, 417, 436, 445, 459, 463, 465, 466, 471, 473, 476, 485, 488, 489, 490, 491, 493, 496, 497, 498, 499, 506, 507, 511, 512, 516, 522, 523, 533, 536, 538, 541, 547, 553, 560, 563, 564, 567, 568, 570, 576

Two more pages in the binder!  At this point, I have 27 more numbers to fill out to get to 603 for the set.  Whenever that happens, I should be able to do that in my next non-Reds Frankenset post!

Comments

  1. I think it would be funny if that first open slot depicted a guy dropping the ball, so that it looks like both Berroa and Trevino are trying to catch it!

  2. Everett pointing is a fantastic photo. It's also nice to see him representing the Expos which are slowly being swallowed up by time. On the second page... I like the bunting photo.
