We may be halfway through November but I'm only now getting ready to put together my statistics for my virtual board game playing over on Board Game Arena for the month of October. I've been staying busy on the site, that's for sure. In October, I ended up playing 87 games (which was an increase of 21 games over the 66 games I played in September). Of the 87 games, I won 35 which is good for a 40.2% winning percentage. Again, not bad considering many of my plays were with more than two people.
Speaking of the 87 plays, here is how my month broke down:
As you can see, Lost Ruins of Arnak continues to lead the pack in terms of the game I play the most. I also played a bunch of Harmonies and Castle Combo. Harmonies is one of my current favorites in term of light games while Castle Combo is another light game that's okay - my inflated number of plays was due to a big tournament that I entered on BGA for that game.
The only new-to-me game for the month was Agricola.
Agricola is one of those super classic board games that everyone should at least try once. For me, I got destroyed and barely knew what I was doing - but I can see some of the appeal of the game even after only a single play session. I do hope to return to Agricola in the future, though I think I'll need to actually read the rule book to have any chance at victory!
Overall, it was certainly a fun month of (virtual) board gaming. Combine the 87 virtual plays with the 57 in-person plays that I did in October, and suddenly, I've completed 144 board game plays in a single month! An amazing month, for sure!
