Finishing Off a Set from 2009!

One of the things that I've learned while collecting baseball cards is that if you decide to collect insert sets and you don't complete the set within the first 24 months of its release, you'll probably have a hard time building the set!  

Case in point:  The 2009 Allen & Ginter set had a short printed mini set called Inventions of the Future.  The set only had five cards but it took me from 2009 all the way until this past week to finally complete my full set:

That's right, I finally tracked down the extremely elusive Mental Movies card from the set and it only took me fifteen years or so!

Now that I've completed the set, I can proudly say that I've managed to finish off seven different sets this year but perhaps none were as difficult as this little set!  Even better, I now have everything that I aimed to collect from the 2009 Allen & Ginter set - I can officially close the book on that set!

I still have plenty more sets that I'm working on (see the full list here).  A part of me is already wondering how long it might take me to complete the various insert sets from this year's Allen & Ginter.  Hopefully, it'll be sooner than the year 2039 (that year sounds like the future, doesn't it)?!  Heck, maybe by 2039 we'll have some of those inventions from the 2009 set come to life!
