TCDB Monday!

Today is one of my favorite Mondays of the year:  the final regular Monday of the fall semester!  After this week of teaching is done, all I'll need to do is give three sets of final exams and then I'll be done for the semester!  Another reason why this Monday is so good is that I have a couple of nice TCDB trades to show off.  Let's get right to it, shall we?

We'll begin with a swap with user WikkiWikkiWikki:

Yep, I'm still plugging away at a whole lot of 2024 Allen & Ginter min insert sets.  This particular swap netted me two more of the retail-only Rookie Design Variation inserts plus a Ballpark Foods, and another one of the scratch-and-sniff Got the Itch cards.  Looking at the Waffle Fries card, I must admit that while I enjoy waffle fries every time I have them, I almost never order them (at a ballpark or anywhere else for that matter).  In fact, I don't think I've ever ordered them at a ballpark, and I kind of doubt I ever would.  The mess and grease ratio is all wrong for Waffle Fries if you have them sitting on your lap while trying to watch a game!  As for the Lavender card, I can confirm that it has a strong scent.

My other package from the week comes from user jmoeder and it contains even more A&G goodies:

A pair of Chrome Refractor base cards was the main prize for me out of this trade mostly because I'm trying to build the full 100-card Chrome Refractor set and with the Refractors seeded about one per box, it's definitely a fairly rare thing to be able to acquire two such cards from the same person in the same trade.  I'm always happy to land more needed minis as well (and yes, I'm trying to build the Chrome mini set as well)!

That does it for last week on TCDB.  I have been continuing to work out trades on the site so hopefully I'll have more envelopes in the mailbox this week (and thus more cards to show off next Monday).  I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind you to cast your vote for this year's End-of-Year Blogging and Baseball Card Awards (see here to vote)!
