Today, I'm pleased to show off a gorgeous new addition to my Barry Larkin Collection:
That's the Orange parallel from the 1990 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary Chrome set. Numbered out of only 25 copies, it's rare for me to find such a low-numbered Barry Larkin card that I can actually afford! There are still tons of other parallels from this set for me to track down, but honestly, having the Orange version is enough to make me content for now.
Did you know? The last time I checked, Barry Larkin already had 35 different cards released in 2025! Of those 35, I currently own only five (including the card you see at the top of today's post)! Those are crazy numbers for a guy who has been retired since the end of the 2004 season.
35 different Larkin cards isn't too big of a surprise. I feel like Topps and Panini thrive on parallels. I'm just glad that I'm not one of those player/team collectors who needs to have every single card. If that was the case, I'd be annoyed.
