I know that some people don't consider stickers "cards" in the sense of a baseball card collection, but I tend to be a bit more lenient for my personal Barry Larkin Collection. For me, the 1996 Panini Stickers set is perfectly valid for my collection - basically, if it's listed on TCDB then I consider it good enough for me!
As for the "card" at hand, it's nothing more than a sticker with a generic card back. That all said, I do like the cheesy design of the '96 Panini Sticker set despite the fact that the set looks like something I could have designed if you gave me MS Paint and about 90 minutes. This won't ever go down as my favorite Barry Larkin item I own, but I am glad to have it, as the mid-90s Panini Stickers were completely overlooked by me as a kid.
I think the green border makes this a great set....
ReplyDeleteStickers are definitely welcome in my baseball card collection. I've got hundreds of the Topps, Panini, and Upper Deck album stickers in my team and player collection binders... plus the Fleer logo stickers from the 80's and early 90's.
