The month of September has been flying by for me this year, somehow we've made it to the last full week of the month already! I suppose the beautiful weather helps, and of course, all sorts of sports on TV.
You aren't here for weather reports or TV updates, you are here to see some cards from last week's TCDB trades, so let's get right to it!
First up, from user alan nyc comes a pair of the 2025 Topps Series 2 Silver Pack Chrome 1990 All-Star cards:
I'm working as hard as possible to complete the 2025 Chrome set before the year is over. I know that once the calendar flips to 2026, 2025 sets will become very difficult to complete via trading (after all, everyone will have moved on to the new, shinier stuff).
My other trade from the past week had a similar flavor (in terms of shininess, at least):
This trade comes courtesy of user dpethoo. I was able to grab my third needed Chrome All-Star card of the week, plus a new-to-me Barry Larkin card from the 2024 Topps Chrome Cosmic set.
As it stands now, here's what I'm still searching for from the 2025 Topps set:
2025 Topps:
1990 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary Chrome (Series 1):
T90C- 21, 44, 50
1990 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary Chrome (Series 2):
T90C- 108, 112, 128, 134, 135, 139, 140, 141, 143, 148, 149, 150
1990 Topps Baseball Chrome All-Stars (Series 2):
90ASC- 2, 6, 8, 11, 12, 17, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 34, 39, 41, 50
I hold out hope that I'll be able to find the last 30 cards that I need sooner rather than later! Put together, the Series 1 and 2 Chrome sets total 200 cards, so having 170 out of the 200 isn't bad. However, as any set collector will tell you, it's the final 10% of any set that is usually the hardest to piece together!
