Another week down, another TCDB mailbag to show off on the blog!
As is customary for this time of year, the academic semester is keeping me quite busy with work, so baseball card trading has been mostly pushed to the back burner. Luckily, I was able to sneak in a couple of TCDB trades lately, and my end of one of those trades showed up in the past week!
The lone completed trade was with TCDB user Redsfan. As you'd probably expect from the user name, Redsfan and I have a lot of mutual trading interests! This time around, I was able to swing a deal for a couple of Barry Larkin cards:
You'd be forgiven for thinking that I already owned both of the above cards. That's because the card fronts are nothing special; you need to flip both cards over to see why I traded for them!
The 2018 Donruss is the Blank Back variation, and the 1994 Topps card is the "A" variation (there is also a "No Print Mark" version for the 1994 Topps Larkin, which I already own). Admittedly, both of the card variations in today's trade are completely useless, but as a player collector, I still feel oddly compelled to collect every version of Barry's cards that I can!
That does it for the past week. I do have a couple more outstanding TCDB trades that should be in the mail, so hopefully I'll have some more cards to show off next week at this time!
