2025 Topps Allen & Ginter: Box 2 (Just the Good Stuff)

I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase several boxes of 2025 Topps Allen & Ginter.  For the first box, I broke down every single pack with lots of scans.  Today, I'm back with box #2, but this time around, we'll simply look at the highlights of the box!

Minis:

Brooklyn Back:  217.  Chase Dollander #16/35

Anytime you rip Allen & Ginter, you always need to make sure you flip over your minis - you never know if you'll find one of the rarer backs such as this Brookly Back of Chase Dollander.  Hand-numbered out of only 25, this is a nice mini pull!

Chrome Minis:
2.  Mark McGwire and 69.  Freddie Freeman

I don't plan to collect this year's Chrome minis (I'm still working on last year's set).  Still, we got two nice players here.

Mini inserts:

A nice smattering of mini inserts including two more fish cards.  All of these are needs, so that's good!

Full-Sized Cards:

Red Foil Filigree:
280.  Greg Barnett #2/5

Woah!  A Red Foil Filigree numbered out of only 5 copies!  It's rare to get a single serially-numbered card out of a box of Ginter, never mind pulling cards as low numbered as what this box offered up (#/25 and now #/5).

Hits:

Framed Relic:
MFR-GC.  Gary Carter

Framed Auto:
MA-TES.  Thairo Estrada

Both solid hits, I'll never complain about pulling framed autographs (or framed relics).

All told, Box 2 was solid but it really didn't have much of a chance to beat what I pulled in the first box!  That said, I rarely pull Brooklyn back minis - and I've never pulled a Red Foil Filigree before, so this box did offer up some cool stuff as well!

  2. Wow. Thairo's a Giant in this? How far out is Topps's lead time? Dude chose free agency in October 2024 and signed with the Rockies last January.

    1. I'm guessing on-card autos require a long lead time, but over a year seems excessive!

  3. I've never had the chance to rip any Ginter. I get the odd one in trades, but I've never been able to get a box for myself.. It looks like an interesting set to open..

  4. Nice Carter. The low #'d cards are solid bonuses. Congratulations on the solid box.

  5. Wow, love the Carter!

And the red foil, and Brooklyn back cards are pretty awesome.
