Netting Myself a Whole School of Fish Cards!

After buying a bunch of boxes of Allen & Ginter (and finding some great hits), I'm now at the point of my collecting journey where I need to trade for (or purchase) needed minis from the set.  It no longer makes sense to buy boxes, especially when mini inserts seem to be limited to only five per hobby box on average!

To get my collection jump-started, I recently purchased a big lot of 26 different cards from the 50 Fish from Global Waters set.  I knew when I bought the lot that there would be several duplicates for me, but I figured those could (hopefully) be traded for different needed minis down the road.

Obviously, as someone who already tracked down the original 1800s era Allen & Ginter set about fish, I'm predisposed to like the 2025 Allen & Ginter fish set!  It only made sense to start with this set in terms of a large lot purchase!  And yes, since I like the fish cards that much, here's what I ended up getting from that eBay lot:

The fish cards are undoubtedly beautiful.  I love all of the colors, and I especially appreciate that Topps took the time to do individual write-ups on the card backs for each of the fish (something that the original 1889 set did not do)!
