Happy Monday, everyone. Now that my semester is over, I'm back to trying to get more trading done over on TCDB. Of course, every trade I complete makes finding the next trade that much harder as I've been trying to be careful to NOT keep adding cards to my want list! That all said, I did make some trades in the past week or so, so let's take a look:
We'll start with a trade with user smitha1:
That's a 2022 Topps Dynamic Duals card of Eric Davis and Barry Larkin. According to TCDB, the card had a print run of 1,725 copies. This was a limited online-only release, and to be honest, I don't think I would have known this set even existed if it weren't for sites like TCDB! As with so many Topps releases, even the online-only sets are riddled with parallels and autographs. For me, I'm still hoping to someday track down the following cards from this set:
Base parallel:
- Blue #/25
Autographs:
- Autograph (with Eric Davis)
- Autograph Blue #/25
There are also even rarer parallels, but I decided a long time ago that I wouldn't actively chase any Barry Larkin cards with a print run of less than 25 copies. In hindsight, I probably should not have bothered with any cards with a print run of under 50 copies, but what's done is done, and I'm not going back through all of my binders now!
Next up, from user Burefreak comes my first 2026 Barry Larkin card:
That's a 1991 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary silver pack Chrome card. Last year, I tried to build the entire silver pack Chrome set, but this year I'm only going to attempt to chase down the Barry Larkin cards. Definitely happy to have this one in my collection, now on to the various parallels from the set!
Next, from user charles hamilton comes a pair of needed 2025 Allen & Ginter minis:
The Robin card is the penultimate card that I need for my 50 State bird sets. That's exciting, but the real prize here is the lighthouse card - it's the final card that I needed for my Light the Night set! I love the look of the lighthouse set, so I'm extremely happy to have that one complete! Overall, the Light the Night set is now my 10th completed set in 2026, very exciting for this set collector!
Finally, we end with a trade with user ryanfoo9:
That's one of the final two cards that I needed from last year's Allen & Ginter 50 Fish from Global Waters set!
That does it for the past week on TCDB. Overall, I think it was a solid return to trading. Here's hoping I can do even more trading as the summer heats up. After all, my goal is to whittle my want list down to as few sets as possible remaining by the end of 2026.
