TCDB Monday!

Happy Monday, everyone!  As usual, I'm back with another peek inside my mailbox at the last week's worth of trades.

We'll start with a trade with user RBlais:

That's a 2026 Topps - 1991 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary Green Crackle Foil from Series 1, serially numbered out of 99 copies.  The set's name sure is a mouthful, I'll give it that.  As for the card itself, it's an (admittedly pointless) parallel that I didn't yet own.  Despite the stupidity of so many parallels, I can't help but like it quite a bit!

My only other incoming trade from last week was this beauty from user allofthis30:

That's a 1998 Pacific Online - Web Card parallel (you can tell by the gold foil).  The Web Cards also have a special code on the back that you were supposed to enter on Pacific's website to get a chance at winning a "Winner" card (basically a base card with an extra stamp on it).

I've been slowly plugging away at the various Barry Larkin cards from 1998 Pacific issued sets.  Currently, I'm down to needing only the following:
  • 1998 Pacific:  #265 - Platinum Blue
  • 1998 Pacific:  #265 - Red Threat
  • 1998 Pacific:  #17 - Team Checklist
  • 1998 Pacific Invincible:  #86 - Platinum Blue
  • 1998 Pacific Online:  #195 - Web Card
  • 1998 Pacific Online:  #195 - Winners
  • 1998 Pacific Online:  #209 - Winners
  • 1998 Pacific Paramount:  #147 - Holographic Silver #/99
  • 1998 Pacific Paramount:  #147 - Platinum Blue
  • 1998 Pacific Revolution:  #40 - Shadow Series #/99
That may seem like a lot of cards that I still need, but that's for the entire Pacific run of sets in 1998.  Heck, 1998 was also the year that Barry was included in Topps Tek, and that set has 90 versions of his base card alone!

That's it for the past week in trading, only two swaps (but both resulted in me landing new-to-me Barry Larkni cards, so I have no complaints).
