I found our first autograph of the break in an earlier pack today. Let's try a couple more of the 2004 Upper Deck Play Ball packs to see if we get extra lucky.
Pack 15:
4. Nomar Garciaparra - Red Sox
46. Lance Berkman - Astros
52. Rocco Baldelli - Rays
91. Darin Erstad - Angels
97. Jerome Williams - Giants
Although the art style is hit or miss on each base card (and more misses than hits), there's still something comforting about opening a pack of cards printed on actual cardboard (as opposed to whatever it is that Topps uses now). The lack of gloss and foil is nice if you ask me - and if a company every produced a set like 1991 Topps I'd be all over it. For now though, the best we get is sets like this. As for the pack winner, I'm giving it to the Red Sox because the Garciaparra is the nicest by far in the pack.
Pack 16:
11. Warren Spahn - Braves
57. Manny Ramirez - Red Sox
66. Hank Blalock - Rangers
70. Mike Lowell - Marlins
92. Richard Hidalgo - Astros
This one's easy - pack win Braves.
