A Cal Ripken Jr. #ed/20 is a Pretty Good Pack Pull, Right?!

Before I get to the rest of today's post, I want to take a moment to wish my dad a happy, happy birthday.  I don't think he reads my blog much (if ever) anymore but a happy day to him just the same.  And now, back to the Pacific Aurora box of cards that's still still sitting on my desk.

Pack 25:
15.  Tom Glavine
79.  Jeff Bagwell
92.  Mark Gruzielanek
155.  Eli Marrero
188.  Fred McGriff
Pennant Fever:  3.  Cal Ripken Jr. #08/20

This isn't any old Pennant Fever insert - this happens to be the copper hobby parallel numbered to a mere 20 cards (the rarest of all the parallels according to the pack wrapper).  You better believe I am excited to pull this - especially since I like Ripken Jr (he's one of a select few non-Reds players that I would consider starting a personal collection of)!

In terms of duplicates, both the Glavine and the McGriff will be available for trade.

Pack 26:
6.  Mo Vaughn
26.  B.J. Surhoff
119.  Rickey Henderson

121.  John Olerud
144.  Curt Schilling
157.  Luis Ordaz

Not the most exciting pack but the previous pack more than made up for this one.  In fact, the pack was half duplicates making this one pretty crappy.  Surhoff, Olerud, and Schilling are all added to the duplicate pile.
