The Group Break Marches On... Topps Gallery Packs 11 & 12

We found our first "hit" of the group break this morning, so be sure to check out the morning post if you missed it.  You'll see why I put the word "hit" in quotations when you read the post.  Despite that, this break was about the cards (and maybe the inserts) but definitely not about the big mojo hits!  As such, I think most teams have made out fairly well - in fact, only 8 of the 30 teams currently do NOT have at least one insert, serially numbered card, or parallel.  That's a pretty good distribution of wealth - and something that I'm especially happy to see in a group break that I host (and that I'm participating in).

Now, let's see if we can find some goodies for some more teams!

Pack 11:
2.  Jim Thome - Indians

I like this card quite a bit - something about it seems to scream "summer!" to me...and that's a good thing because all I've dealt with for past few months is snow, snow, and more snow.
8.  Sammy Sosa - Cubs
69.  Tino Martinez - Yankees
78.  Tony Gwynn - Padres
91.  Pedro Martinez - Red Sox

Mark had mentioned yesterday (or maybe the day before) that the Red Sox were getting a bit difficult to find.  I think this will cheer him up!
148.  Jeremy Giambi - Royals

Pack 12:
30.  Chuck Knoblauch - Yankees
47.  Tom Glavine - Braves
79.  Jim Edmonds - Angels
96.  Sean Casey - Reds
127.  Scott Rolen - Phillies
AG 10.  Awards Gallery:  Larry Walker - Rockies

I hope this one is new for Cards from the Quarry.  The Awards Gallery cards are seeded 1:12 packs (or two per box).  It's super shiny (though you'd never know that from the scan) - I actually hate to even touch it for fear of adding smudges!

Not a bad couple of packs - more group break packs to come (though we are finally winding down).  I'm still on pace to get the entire break down, packed, and shipped by the end of next week.
