1996 Upper Deck Collector's Choice: Pack #28: In Which I Experiment with Blog Posting Times!

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been running an experiment of sorts to see if there is a difference in total viewers to my blog depending on when I post new content.  I figured this was a decent time to try such an experiment since the vast majority of my posts lately have been packs out of my 1996 Upper Deck Collector's Choice box (and thus they should be fairly consistent in terms of their "interest level" for my blog readers).

So what did I learn out of this little experiment?  It seems like more people comment at night...but more people seem to read my blog if I post a new entry in the morning.  I guess the moral of the story for me is:

Post whenever I can and let the chips fall where they may.  I don't seem to have a magical time that works for everyone!

Pack 28:
39.  Robert Person
84.  Brian McRae
171.  Tom Goodwin
200.  Kirby Puckett
232.  Tony Fernandez

Pretty nice action shot here, even if you can't really make out Tony's face.
275.  Edgar Martinez
336.  Roberto Kelly
You Make the Play:  40.  Frank Thomas (Walk)

Thomas walks to make it runners on first and second with two outs in the top of the 5th inning.  We still lead 6-4.
Silver Signatures:
88.  Ozzie Timmons
143.  Brian Maxcy

  1. Kind of strange seeing a big old swing from Frank Thomas highlighted by the word, "WALK." I guess they didn't pay much attention to the photo they were using on the card.

  2. I've been wondering about the optimal posting time myself. I've been mostly putting up stuff around 8:30 on weekdays. Still only getting single digit readers though...
