Pack Wars I: Pack 09 - 2006 Topps Series 2 - Bottom Panel

Here's the second panel out of the rack pack. The first panel opened was the top panel which resulted in a romp for Box 1. Can Box 2 scratch out a victory from the bottom panel to force a deciding battle with the middle panel (where the inserts lie)?

Note: For complete scoring rules, check out the initial post.

Pack #09: 2006 Topps Series 2 - Bottom Panel

Box 1:

483. Jose Guillen (0 points)
484. Aaron Hill (0 points)
525. Zach Duke (A pirate, I like that Duke is signing autographs in the picture. +2 points)

538. Mark Mulder (The wrong NL Central team in red... -1 point)

559. Jerry Hairston Jr. (Hairston gets -1 because he's pictured as a Cub even though he's a Red now.)

563. Brad Ausmus (Another NL Central foe. -1 point)

647. Twin Fundamentals: Rondell White & Lew Ford (I can't say I'm excited about this card either. 0 points)

Total points: 0 + 0 + 2 - 1 - 1 - 1 + 0 = -1 point

Ouch! Box 1 just laid a stinky egg on that pack break. Here's Box 2's best chance to make up a lot of ground.

Box 2:

336. Ted Lilly (0 points)
393. Brian Schneider (0 points though I did like the photo)

503. Nate Bump (+5 points. Nate is from Towanda, PA which was one of the schools that I competed against in athletics growing up. Nate's a bit older than me though, so I'm sure I never played against him in anything.)

565. David DeJesus (0 points)
571. Angel Berroa (0 points, the second Royal in a row)
637. Conor Jackson (0 points)
653. Brew Crew: Prince Fielder & Rickie Weeks (The world's fattest vegetarian gets -1 point for being a Brewer)

Total points: 0 + 0 + 5 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 - 1 = 4 points

Well, it wasn't pretty but a win is a win and Box 2 ought to be happy with that. This sets up a showdown of the middle panel to see which rack pack was the better...

Running tally:
Box 1: 6 pack wins and +91 total points
Box 2: 3 pack wins and +53 total points
