The 2006 Fleer Greats of the Game set contains a bunch of different Barry Larkins (I've already posted about the base card and a base card parallel in previous Barry Larkin Collection posts). This particular card is from the Reds Greats insert set. The team greats insert set contains 10 players from the team that Fleer deemed as "great." Larkin certainly fits that broad description!
The front of the card features a small photo of Larkin along with the running man logo (my favorite Reds logo) and the famous "C" logo over a view of the Queen City. At the bottom, the years that Larkin played are listed (1986 - 2004)!
The back of the card lists Larkin's vitals (height, weight, etc.) and a small paragraph explaining why he is great. The Reds running man logo makes its second appearance as well - something that shouldn't be overlooked! Overall, this is a great card for any Reds fan or Larkin collector and I'm glad to have it! If anyone has another copy of this card I'd love to acquire it since I'd like one for my player binder AND one for my set binder!
