Blog Sponsorship & Nachos Grande Review: Rachael Ray Skillets!

I'm pleased to announce that I have recently agreed to my second product review as part of an agreement with the CSN network of online retailers.  The retail shops under the CSN umbrella include over 200 different stores, all of which sell a variety of products including such things as modern bedding, cookware, and office desks.

That means that as of this posting, I have now managed to finally "get" something out of my humble little blog, in this case, a couple of free products to review from CSN.  I've also received that free Reds t-shirt a couple of weeks ago, which means I've made more "income" in the last month with my blog than I have for over two years of having Google Ad Sense on the blog.  Obviously, a few more sponsorship opportunities and you'll never see those Ad Sense ads again (of course, with the low click rate, most of you already don't see them)!

The first product that I was able to review from the CSN online stores was a pair of Rachael Ray Porcelain Skillets (in green):

The product was shipped in an efficient manner and arrived in excellent condition.  The skillets themselves are heftier than my cheaper, older skillets (which is great I think) and are a bit brighter green color than I thought the product photo suggested. From the product description, you can see that the skillets are oven safe with silicone handles and from personal experience I can tell you that the skillets clean super easily!  In fact, it's no exaggeration that I'll be using my new Rachael Ray skillets as much as possible whenever I try and concoct some kind of skillet dinner (such as this Shrimp & Sausage Skillet recipe that I showcased about a year ago on the blog).

At a list
price of $55.00, I'd say the price is a bit high but CSN does have the skillets marked down 36% ($20.00 off) which makes the pair of skillets much more reasonably priced.  I may not be a master chef, but I do cook enough to know when I'm dealing with a nice piece of cookware, and for the price, these skillets are exactly that!

Note:
Neither Rachael Ray herself, nor that delectable outfit pie come with the skillet.

  2. Aw, I'm disappointed. You couldn't come up with some angle to connect a skillet to the Reds or baseball cards? Maybe..."Whenver I see that the Cardinals' season is cooked...I think of the Rachel Ray skillets..."

It's also nice that the price is discounted 36%. Has a nice ring to it.
