Reds' Magic Number Down to One!

Although the Reds have an off day today, if the Cardinals lose the Reds will be the second National League team to assure themselves of a spot in the playoffs.  With the usual caveat of not counting your chickens before they hatch, it'd be nice to see the Reds end up with the second best record in the National League (at least) in order to avoid Philadelphia in the first round...

The Joey Votto mini card featured is from Kerry over at Cards on Cards and came as part of a surprise package full of Reds (including a few Barry Larkin cards that I didn't own)!  Kerry won a contest on my blog back when the Reds pooped their pants in their first big series with the Cardinals.  Luckily for me, the Cardinals proceeded to poop their pants in almost every series since then...which should be just enough for the Reds to sneak into the playoffs and hopefully rediscover the offense that has been dormant for most games within the past three weeks.
