I'm beginning to bust the packs for the group break, but it still isn't completely full - to sign up and see what is available, check out the original sign up post. Now, in an effort to convince those who might not know what all the sets entail (which would be me, for the record), let's take a sneak peak of the first pack out of the 2000 Topps Stars box.
2000 Topps Stars
According to the pack odds, we have a chance to pull the following:
Sequentially numbered base parallel - 1:26
Sequentially numbered Topps Stars subset - 1:1232
Walk of Fame - 1:8
Progression - 1:13
All-Star Authority - 1:13
Overall Autograph odds - 1:310
Overall Game-Gear odds - 1:120
Pack 01
Let's hope we find an auto or relic in the box! Only one way to find out - let's start ripping!
22. Jay Bell - Diamondbacks
37. Chris Mears -Mariners
39. Edgardo Alfonzo - Mets
102. Bob Gibson - Cardinals
121. Sean Burroughs - Padres
144. Rick Asadoorian - Red Sox
Ooh, that's a bit of a stinker pack...perhaps not the best one to use to convince people to claim the last few remaining spots... That said, the cards are kind of neat - and the backs of the cards emphasize the Stars portion of the Topps Stars set name. I also like the fact that there are retired stars in the set, including some like Gibson who don't always get the same time to shine (pun intended) in more recent Topps sets.

I like these cards ever since I rippped one of these on my Pack Rip Cafe. They are on good stock and I like how they make the rookie cards different from the "stars".
ReplyDeleteEh, may have not been the best pack, but it's a good product and I can't wait to see what else is in the box.
