The other day, I posted four of the final eight packs in the final mini box from the Fleer Genuine box. Today, I planned to show the other four packs...but I realized that there are actually five packs remaining! I guess we got an extra pack - no complaints from me!
Pack 1:
40. Bret Boone - Mariners
57. Magglio Ordonez - White Sox
76. Aramis Ramirez - Pirates
78. Ivan Rodriguez - Rangers
136. Ben Howard - Padres #0472/2002
Another pack with a serially numbered card! This one goes to the Padres - their third pack win of the break.
Pack 2:
14. Moises Alou - Cubs
17. Vladimir Guerrero - Expos
68. Jason Kendall - Pirates
84. Jermaine Dye - Athletics
GL 8 of 15: Genuine Leaders: Curt Schilling - Diamondbacks
I'm as surprised as anyone that the Diamondbacks have had such a strong showing in the break. Given this insert, they now have 2 parallels, 2 inserts, 1 serially numbered card, and 1 relic resulting in five pack wins. Not bad for a "bonus" team huh?!
Pack 3:
16. Cliff Floyd - Marlins
35. Paul Konerko - White Sox
56. C.C. Sabathia - Indians
73. Doug Mientkiewicz - Twins
2 of 25 TA: Touch 'em All: Sammy Sosa - Cubs
Earlier in the break we pulled another one of the Touch 'em All cards and I questioned "why" is there such an insert set? Then a few packs ago we pulled a relic card with a piece of a base...and it all made sense! Easy win for the Cubs - that's their fifth as well.
Pack 4:
37. Adam Dunn - Reds
53. Preston Wilson - Marlins
61. Paul Lo Duca - Dodgers
70. J.D. Drew - Cardinals
GL 2 of 15: Genuine Leaders: Todd Helton - Rockies
Another nice card for the Rockies - these Genuine Leaders are pretty nice. This is the Rockies fifth pack win as well!
Bonus pack?
4. Eric Milton - Twins
12. Albert Pujols - Cardinals
65. Toby Hall - Rays
67. Jeff Bagwell - Astros
AND HOLY SMOKES BATMAN
SERIOUSLY
WE GOT OURSELVES AN AUTOGRAPH
IT IS ON CARD
AND IT IS SERIALLY NUMBERED
AND IT IS AWESOME
AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE THE TEAM
AND YOU WANT TO SEE IT
HERE IT IS
WELL, NOT YET
OK, FINE YOU ARE A GOOD SPORT
....
DRUM ROLL ...
Auto: Phil Rizzuto - Yankees #223/700
That's right - an on card autograph of Phil Rizzuto in what I think amounted to an extra pack. The autograph is on card and the card itself is gorgeous. The Yankees absolutely killed it this break - congrats to New York on the huge pull!

I am not a Yanks fan either but that is one nice hit.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteVery nice card. I can't see/hear Rizzuto's name without thinking of Billy Madison.

Wow that's a great pull. And when I first looked at the Sammy Sosa Touch them All, I was wondering why they had a mattress on a baseball card?
ReplyDeleteAnother great card that's not a Brave or DRAY lol. Congrats to the Yanks
