A TCDB Surprise Card from mpdillard25!

I'm So Pretty. Oh So Pretty. (and Shiny too!)

I hope you don't mind but I'd like to squeeze one more post's worth of group break packs in before calling it a night on the blogs.

2000 Topps Finest:
Pack 13:
185.  Juan Gonzalez - Tigers
212.  Chuck Knoblauch - Yankees
213.  Moises Alou - Astros
227.  Brad Penny - Marlins
230.  Eddie Yarnall - Yankees
225.  Raul Mondesi - Blue Jays - Refractor
The scan doesn't do this card any kind of justice!

Every time I begin to get annoyed with the Topps Finest box (as it seems to be underwhelming thus far), we get a gem like the Mondesi refractor.  This is a gorgeous card - and so, so shiny!  This card is a box hit (seeded 1:24 packs) so congrats to the Blue Jays for securing a pack win!

Pack 14:
167.  Octavio Dotel - Astros
173.  J.T. Snow - Giants
175.  John Olerud - Mariners
186.  Ellis Burks - Giants
205.  Craig Biggio - Astros

235.  Rafael Furcal - Braves

Did you know that Furcal is one of my least favorite players over the past decade (and for no real good reason)?  This pack goes to the Astros.  That's all I have to say about it.  G'night!

  1. I'm glad I didn't trade the Blue Jays! Got a Kaline for my Tigers today too! Sweet! This comment has to many exclamation points!

  2. I like the prospect cards from this set.

Should have used the orange for the whole set.

I too have a baseless hatred of Furcal. It might be because he lied about his age.
