A TCDB Surprise Card from mpdillard25!

Minis Galore! Wooo!

I opened up my first group break of 2013 yesterday - sign up here if you haven't already!

I still have a few more trade packages to write-up from last year's swaps.  This particular package is from Scott over at Sports Cards Ate My Brain.  In all actuality, this is almost a 2013 trade since the envelope arrived on New Year's Eve.  However, a date stamp of 2012 means 2012...

I sent Scott some inserts from the 2012 Topps Archives set (one of the two sets that I bought any packs from this year).  In return, Scott helped me out with the Allen & Ginter mini sets from both 2009 and 2010.

First up, 2009.  Scott sent me four regular back minis that I needed which leaves me with only nine more cards that I need to somehow acquire before I'll have the entire mini set complete.  In case you are wondering (and yet don't want to click on my want list), here's the list of remaining regular back minis that I need:
28, 47, 134, 159, 176, 205, 264, 277, 307
As for this trade?  Well, I got four including Ryan Howard and the fairly awesome Clayton Kershaw mini!

Scott also helped me out with my 2010 Allen & Ginter regular back mini set.  In this case, I need quite a few more cards (25 to be exact).  Here's the full list:
6, 8, 20, 34, 51, 54, 58, 106, 109,  114, 170, 178, 184, 187, 212, 228, 230, 231, 235, 246, 254, 274, 278, 280, 294
Thanks to Scott, I was able to get 5 cards closer which is awesome.  Of the five 2010 minis, I think the Adam Dunn is my favorite simply because I like the Big Donkey!

Scott also threw in an additional surprise mini for me - but it wasn't from Allen & Ginter.  Instead, it was from the underrated (and under appreciated) Upper Deck Goodwin Champions set from 2009.  This particular mini is of the venerable Joey Votto - a truly great card!

You'd think that'd be enough goodies for one trade package - but Scott had a few more surprises for me.  First, a couple of new Barry Larkin cards for my collection...

...and finally, a Barry Larkin "coin" made by Topps back in 1990.  I don't know anything about this particular item but it certainly fits in with my Barry Larkin Collection!

Thanks for the great trade Scott!  And, as always, if anyone else would like to trade - check out my want list and make an offer.
