PWE Week: This isn't a Catastrophe!

Welcome to Day #2 of PWE Week here at Nachos Grande.  Today's white envelope of goodness is courtesy of Jeff over at Cardboard Catastrophes.  Jeff sent me this little package totally out of the blue - and while his want list is both limited (and slightly esoteric) in scope, I urge all of you to check it out on his blog!

Back in 2011, I decided it was a good idea to try and complete the Diamond Parallel set from the Topps flagship set.  Flash forward to 2013 and I'm still working on the set so maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all.

Aside:  Here's what I still need from the 2011 Topps set:
2011 Topps:Topps Town (Series 2):  TT2-41
Diamond Parallels:  138, 306, 339, 369, 380, 381, 400, 408, 424, 440, 462, 511, 520, 528, 529, 533, 534, 537, 548, 550, 573, 579, 603, 605, 612, 640, 652, 657

Anyhow, back in 2011 I tried to spur a flurry of trades by hosting a contest where each diamond card sent my way would get the sender an entry.  Jeff happened to send me a bunch (the final total now eludes me) and ended up winning a prize in my little contest (a Hall of Fame relic if I'm not mistaken).

Since Jeff sent me the diamond beauty (pictured above) a few days ago, I can only assume he hopes I'm starting up a new contest!  Unfortunately, there's no time for a new contest right now - after all, Allen & Ginter is out tomorrow!  Instead, I'll just be thankful for the surprise diamond.

Jeff also threw in one other card in that PWE - and it's a card that I've never seen from a set (insert?) that I've never heard of:

Yep, some sort of "Hot Button Baseball" card from Topps - printed on a plastic card stock from 2005.  My knowledge of cards from 2002 - 2005 (aka my college years) is totally lacking so landing something like this is a wonderful surprise - and an instant addition to my collection!

Thanks for the cards Jeff!
