It's time for another Theme Week here at Nachos Grande - and this time I return to the same theme that I've already featured twice: Plain White Envelope Week (aka PWE Week).
Yes, the overabundance of goodies in my mailbox (in the form of a small white envelope) means I get to devote an entire week to the joys of one of the simplest forms of postal communication.
Since I want to share the love of the PWE with my readers, I also have a fairly easy contest to announce today!
The prize? Why, a plain white envelope with some cards of the team of your choice! Seems like a fitting reward.
Here's the deal:
I have SEVEN different PWEs that I want to showcase this week. Your goal is to correctly guess the total sum of the seven ZIP CODES if I add the numbers together. The winner will be the person who guesses a number that is the closest to the total sum without going over (ala Price is Right rules).
You get one guess on this post for free. If you'd like a second guess, leave a plug for this little contest on your blog (with a link to this post on your blog - and a link to your blog entry in your comment on my blog).
Good luck - and as a point of clarification I'm only counting the first five digits of the zip code. In other words, if you know your zip code as XXXXX-XXXX, I'm only counting the first five numbers.
One more hint since I like math puzzles. Here are all the digits in the seven zip codes (in numerical order).
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 3 4 5 5 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 7 7 8 8 9 9
I don't know whether that is at all useful or helpful...but it might be fun to try and piece together some of the zip codes (hint: a few of the PWEs are from quite prolific blog traders).
That's enough hints - now get guessing! The deadline to enter the contest is Monday, May 12 at 5:59 PM EST. I'm hoping to have the first PWE Theme Week post go live at 6:00 PM on Monday!
